WELCOME

In June 2020, I had a stroke.
I found during the hospital stay that I had aphasia. Aphasia is a condition that limits my ability to speak and to read or write. I am lucky to be alive, but it isn’t easy.
I have trouble finding the words to come up with the language. Sometimes I have almost got it, but not just right. Sometimes if I say the “alphagaties” (no such word!!!) it tells me to find “alligator”.
As an executive in Human Resources, I talked a lot. After Aphasia I don’t talk much.
I will learn to restart the language for me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
"Aphasia is working hard, and every day it gets better. Don't stop. Get better".
My Aphasia Language
In each story, I tried to learn something new to work on what I have trouble speaking. Many of these are fun to remember and learn how to write again.
